Read and Listen, a mini course

For some chorale cantatas, we will present the relationship between song and cantata in a bit more detail as a listening guide for those who want to know more about these compositions. How does Bach explain the songs? And how do you recognise in text and music the discussions of the hymnologists of his time? We present you with the original song text (on our Kerkliedwiki) and use various listening examples for each part of the cantata. You will get brief explanations as a kind of mini-listening course. For those who want to dig deeper, hymnological files with more background and sources also follow for each cantata.
